Optional Competition Entry formatt for 2012
As we have never closed the first tee for competitions, we feel that this has detracted from the amount of entries we recieve and has made it more difficult for you to arrange your matches, often putting people off completely as they don't have a garaunteed playing partner.
We would like to attract a larger number of competitors each week, making the fixtures more competative for everyone who enters.
Starting on our first fixture this season which is Sunday 1st April , Members will be entered into a draw and will be allocated playing partners randomly on a drawn out basis, to tee off then at your leisure (first tee 7:45am). We will not shut the first tee, and your competition entry fee and green fee will be paid as usual. This is an optional draw that we hope will attract more of our membership to play regularly in our competitions and is just one suggestion that we would like to try this year. We look forward to your feedback and hopefully your attendance in earnest in 2011.
